What is Bending?
Bending is the process of shaping flat metal into angles or curves using force. It’s commonly done with press brakes, which use punches and dies to form precise shapes. This method is key to creating strong, three-dimensional parts for a wide range of industries, efficiently and cost-effectively.

What We Can Produce
Our press brake setup includes a wide range of tooling and machine capability, allowing us to handle everything from simple folds through to more complex formed parts.
With tooling options covering a broad range of nose radii and vee widths from 6mm to 100mm, plus machines designed for greater stroke and open height, we’re able to produce components that go beyond standard bending limitations.
This includes heavy-duty parts, safety edging, corner box folds and deep channel sections, all produced with consistency and accuracy.

Can I have a credit account with SJS Laser?
The short answer is yes, you can. Once we‘ve established a short trading relationship, we’re usually more than happy to offer a credit facility.

Can I pay extra for a quicker delivery, like a ‘Gold’ Service or a ‘Rapid Response’ Service?
Fast turnaround is part of our standard service and one of the main reasons customers choose SJS Laser. We don’t charge extra for priority delivery.

Will SJS Laser process ‘free-issue’ materials and just charge me for the laser cutting or bending?
Yes. We’re happy to work with customer-supplied materials, or we can include material supply in your quote if preferred.

Can I have the parts delivered to my factory?
Yes, we can deliver anywhere in the UK, using either our own transport or next day couriers. Collection is also available if that’s easier.

Can you still help me if I don’t have a CAD drawing?
Absolutely. Whilst having your own CAD drawing will certainly make things easier, our engineering team can help turn your sketches, measurements, or requirements into production-ready files.
