Sheet metal laser cutting sits at the heart of our service. Most of what we process, from mild steel and stainless, to aluminium and copper, starts as flat sheet. The laser cuts the profile you need, cleanly and accurately, from whatever gauge you're working with.

We cut sheet metal from 0.5mm upwards. Our large-format cutting beds handle full-size sheets without the need to cut down before processing. That matters for yield, and for cost.

Getting the gauge right
Sheet metal is often specified by gauge rather than millimetres in some industries. Our technical sales team can translate between gauge standards and metric specifications. Just tell us what you’re working with, and we’ll confirm the right process.

Nesting and yield
For sheet metal work, how the parts are nested on the sheet has a significant impact on material yield and cost. Our programming team optimises nesting as part of the standard process. On larger orders, efficient nesting can meaningfully reduce your cost per part without changing anything about the part itself.

Thin gauge considerations
Very thin sheet metal (under 1mm) can distort under heat. Our laser settings and cut strategy account for this on thin gauge jobs. If you have specific flatness requirements, mention them when you enquire.

Heavy gauge sheet
At the heavier end (above 15mm), the process changes. Cut speeds are reduced, and edge quality on the thicker material is slightly different. We’ll be straightforward with you about what to expect at any thickness, so there are no surprises when the parts arrive.

If your parts need to be bent after cutting, our press brake operation can fold them to the angles and profiles you need. If they need threaded holes, tapping can be done before dispatch.
